TeamCBC Sunday Ride_RRR.5/7/17

Hi Folks,

This week's TeamCBC ride is the Raven Rock Ramble.  This event is sold out so I am happy for everyone that got a spot and encourage people to keep an eye out later this year for sign ups to the 2018 RRR.  This annual event always fills quickly.   Still there are a couple of announcements.

Why We Are TeamCBC...

Throughout the days, weeks, and even years, we sometimes lose sight of "why" we do what we do. This is true not only of our daily routines such as going to work, but with our little cycling team we know as TeamCBC. And, when we lose that focus, we can end up not understanding the value of "what" we are doing as well.

Today, I got another reminder of how important it is to always keep the "why" in front of you and how that impacts the things you do (the "what") and how keeping that focus makes those tasks easier and utlimately more pleasurable.

Michael Jr, well known comedian and speaker, sums it up quite nicely in this video and shows why it is important to know your "why" so the "what" becomes almost second nature.

And, the reason why we are TeamCBC? Well, that's easy to understand...

Presentation - Setting Goals & Developing a Training Plan

On 1/11/2016, Danny Thomas gave a great presentation on developing a training plan for cycling at the NC Bicycle Club monthly meeting. The meeting was attended by several members of NCBC and TeamCBC. Danny is one of the regular riders with the team and always has great advice for cyclists and athletes alike.
