TeamCBC_NCBC Summer Rally_7/15/2018

I wanted to let you all know about another ride I'm involved with, the North Carolina Bicycle Club's Summer Rally, which is coming up on Sunday, July 15. It's actually a free ride for NCBC members, and it only costs $15 to join, even for a family, so that's a pretty good deal! Here are the details:

Why We Are TeamCBC...

Throughout the days, weeks, and even years, we sometimes lose sight of "why" we do what we do. This is true not only of our daily routines such as going to work, but with our little cycling team we know as TeamCBC. And, when we lose that focus, we can end up not understanding the value of "what" we are doing as well.

Today, I got another reminder of how important it is to always keep the "why" in front of you and how that impacts the things you do (the "what") and how keeping that focus makes those tasks easier and utlimately more pleasurable.

Michael Jr, well known comedian and speaker, sums it up quite nicely in this video and shows why it is important to know your "why" so the "what" becomes almost second nature.

And, the reason why we are TeamCBC? Well, that's easy to understand...

Presentation - Setting Goals & Developing a Training Plan

On 1/11/2016, Danny Thomas gave a great presentation on developing a training plan for cycling at the NC Bicycle Club monthly meeting. The meeting was attended by several members of NCBC and TeamCBC. Danny is one of the regular riders with the team and always has great advice for cyclists and athletes alike.
