JUST DO IT MS Fund Raiser!

Greg Shuck has invited everyone on TeamCBC to come over to the CBC Taproom on Monday, February 22nd from 4-9PM for this event. Pints will be sold at regular price with $2.22 of each pint sale going to MS. You can walk, ride, or just sit in the Taproom and enjoy the evening. There will be food trucks there as well.

We will meet in the parking lot for the Holly Springs Cultural Center NOT in the My Way parking lot. Following the ride everyone is encouraged to head to My Way for some food and drink.

You asked for and you got it!!! A brewery ride!  Thanks to all the volunteers that made this happen. After being couped up for days we deserve it.  ;-)  Please come out and enjoy temperatures in the 60's in January.

Remember hydration doesn't start 5 minutes before the ride- Operation Hydration starts now! Tips on hydration and nutrition can be found at teamcbc.com. The speed of each group is based on the slowest rider. Stronger riders should be helping the other cyclists stay together and have an enjoyable ride. People in back speak up if need be and people in front take a glance back to make sure everyone is together.

Winter riding rules are in effect:
Keep stops short and sweet so as not to get cold.
Stay together as much as possible, we don’t leave team members out in the cold alone.
Now is the time to build a base, not blow up a group. 

Print off your own cue sheets. None will be available on Sunday morning.

Jersey Design Contest

TeamCBC is looking for new jersey designs 2016 so we are asking everyone on the team to submit design ideas.

Contest Guidelines

Since Carolina Brewing Company (CBC) is our main sponsor, your design idea MUST use their new logo in your design (as shown to the left). And, anyone that has seen their new bottles, you know that they have the logo in several colors as well. So please do not feel that you are limited to just the existing colors on the logo. Let your imagination run wild!

Your submission must be more than just a description as there is far too much room for interpretation. You must have something concrete with a set of graphic files that clearly shows your design idea. (Sorry, napkin drawings do not count). Probably the best thing is to get out your favorite graphic editing software and start drawing it. If you need existing logos or such just ask and we can see what we can dig up.

Each person can submit one and only one entry. Submissions can be updated until the contest ends but only the latest submission will count.

Please note that the final design will incorporate other sponsor logos on the jersey so the final jersey design may be altered to accommodate these logos.

Prize

  • A newly designed jersey in your choice of size
  • $100 in donations to your fundrasing goal for BikeMS New Bern in September

Presentation - Setting Goals & Developing a Training Plan

On 1/11/2016, Danny Thomas gave a great presentation on developing a training plan for cycling at the NC Bicycle Club monthly meeting. The meeting was attended by several members of NCBC and TeamCBC. Danny is one of the regular riders with the team and always has great advice for cyclists and athletes alike.

Weekly Ride - 1/17/2016 CANCELLED

EVERYONE, regardless of ride distance, should bring 2 bottles of water for all the rides.  In addition to the listed stops on the rides there are numerous other gas stations where you can refill your water.  Please be aware of your fellow riders and take care of each other.  Don’t be a hero!! Better to cut the ride short today in order to ride again the next.
