2. Volunteer at the Raleigh Turkey Trot
The non-profit MS Events, Inc coordinates volunteers for the Raleigh Turkey Trot.  Volunteers who participate in Bike MS, Walk MS, or MS Challenge Walk can receive fundraising credit based on their volunteer hours before and during the event.

Our most urgent need for volunteer is for Course Monitors who are stationed along the race course.  (Course monitors must be age 21+.)  Raleigh Police will not allow the race to take place if we do not have enough Course Monitors.  If you have friends or family who are not running, please encourage them to sign up.

DELAYED - Holly Springs Town Council Meeting impacting us

DELAYED - NO LONGER 9/4 - keep watching here for updated date.
Please join us on Tuesday September 4th at 7 PM, DATE NOW TBD at the Holly Springs Town Hall, 128 S. Main Street, Holly Springs 27540.

Jackie Miller has been working on our behalf to improve the cycling experience in Holly Springs.  She's asked that our local cycling community join her in support of the initial changes now in progress.

There will be a town council meeting to discuss new signage ("Share The Road") and markings (Sharrows) to be installed in the area.  Some of the roads in question are very familiar to us:  Green Oaks Parkway, Holly Springs New Hill Road (Brewery Hill!), Woods Creek Road, and Thomas Mill Road, among others.

I believe this represents a start - a foot in the door toward greater consideration of cyclist needs as the area continues to mature.

Please review the agenda and project maps as well as general meeting procedures and other public meeting guides.

Thank you!
